Before working out a travel plan, the user may choose to "introduce himself" on the website following a simple wizard, for example: I travel alone, by car, in September, for two weeks, for a cultural holiday, minimum budget ... (user profile).

During the user's search on the portal, the system takes into account his profile and the product choices already made. At first it automatically recommends results that best match his preferences and expressed needs. If there were no results at all, or too many were proposed, Travel Recommender suggests how to adapt the search in order to find the best proposal.

Thanks to a specific logic (named Case-Based Reasoning), the system is able to suggest not only individual products or services (accommodation, places, events, etc.) that best suit him, but also tours or packages, as well as travel solutions created by others with similar profiles.

Any option chosen will then be stored on a personal travel plan that can be compared with others previously made, saved and printed.
